Old School Butter Pound Cake


This traditional Pound Cake recipe is one my mother made often throughout my childhood, it's moist, dense, and buttery. IT'S IRRESISTIBLE!!!! when I made it,  I could have eaten the whole cake, but luckily, I had some self-control.
To make it you will need:
- 6 large eggs.
- 3 cups softened butter.
- 1 cup and half cake flour.
- 1 cup and a half all-purpose flour.
- 3 cups granulated sugar.
- 8 oz cream cheese.
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract.
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract.
- 1 teaspoon salt.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- STEP 1- In a medium mixing bowl beat butter and cream cheese using an electric hand mixer, for 3 minutes or until the mixture comes together.
- STEP 2- Add sugar, vanilla, and almond extract beat again until fluffy and light.
- STEP 3-  Reduce speed to low, and add eggs, one at a time, add flours and continue beating for 3 more minutes.
- STEP 4- Flour and grease a bundt pan, pour the batter and bake for about 60 to 90 minutes, at 350 degrees.
- STEP 5- Remove cake from pan, and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- STEP 6- For the topping, be creative, and use what you have in your kitchen !!
