HOW TO DO HOBO DINNER??


This recipe reminds me of recipes during the fall harvest season that my mother would bring to the farm. A full and hearty meal made particularly for starving, hard-working folk harvesters was always a welcoming sight! This recipe for the Hobo Dinner delivers just that! This is not just a great meal in a single box, but it is so easy to cook and much easier to clean, making it the ideal meal for your hungry family to eat!
The list of the ingredients that you'll need:
+ 500g lean ground beef.
+ 4 small potatoes.
+ 2 cups chopped carrots.
+ 2 small onions.
+ 2 tbsp olive oil.
+ 1 PKG dry onion soup mix.
+ 1 tsp garlic powder.
+ condensed mushroom soup.
salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
  - Step 1- Preheat oven to 375 F.
  - Step 2- In a bowl, mix the ground beef and the dry soup mix. Shape into 4 patties, then set aside.
  - Step 3- Combine all the remaining ingredients in a separate large bowl, excluding the mushroom soup. Toss once blended well.
  - Step 4- Spray non-stick spray on a 12′′x18′′ sheet of foil.
  - Step 5- Place 1/4 of the vegetable mixture in the middle of the foil.
  - Step 6- Cover with 1 piece of beef. Atop each patty, add 2 teaspoons of condensed mushroom soup.
  - Step 7- Seal the packages well with foil. Place the beef side up on a wide baking sheet and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the carrots and potatoes are moist.
